Here is an amazing shot of us and our friend the Moon taken from the orbit of Mars from a thing called HiRISE which is an experiment in High Resolution Imagery from the University of Arizona's Dept. of Planetary Sciences. HiRISE is flying on board the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) and allows high res views of the surface of Mars up to 1metre in scale... That is what you get when you LAND on the damn thing. So you can look at the images here and soon will be able to submit requests to check out certain features on the surface. It is known as the peoples camera, and will hopefully generate public interest in what is exactly out there and on the "messenger of the gods"
